At Mentally STRONG, we’re redefining outpatient mental health care. We're looking for compassionate, quick-thinking individuals to join our team as an Educational Counselor/Coach & Medical Assistant. In this unique hybrid role, you’ll deliver meaningful psychoeducational support while working alongside a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner during each patient visit.
This is not a traditional counselor role. It’s a fast-moving, hands-on position ideal for individuals interested in psychology, life coaching, or anyone seeking real-world experience in mental health. What You’ll Do:
- Teach and guide clients using the Mentally STRONG Method (Cognitive Behavioral framework; full training provided)
- Take patient vitals and obtain basic medical history
- Assist the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner during client sessions
- Support medication education and transmit prescription refills as directed
- Document all sessions and tasks in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Manage appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and HIPAA-compliant communication
You’ll work with 1 client per hour—combining coaching, charting, and medical assistant duties in every session.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred
- Or: certification and experience in Life Coaching, CNA, LPN, RBT, teaching, or similar
- Critical thinker with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and eager to grow professionally
- Confident with typing and electronic systems (EHR experience a plus)
- Clear personal boundaries and emotional resilience

W-2 Employment. Full time 32-hour work week, Monday - Thursday 7:45 am - 5:00 pm
Compensation: $19.00/hr to $23.00/hr
